Arnald Terrell "Arnie" Anderson, 51, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Lakewood Nursing Center, Crescent City following an extended illness. A native of Palatka, he was the born on Wednesday, December 21, 1960. He was educated in the Putnam County School District (Palatka High School, Class of 1978). In his early years, he was active at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He was formerly employed as a maintenance/repairman at the Palatka Housing Authority. "Arnie" was talented and enjoyed being with his family. He also played bass guitar for a local band. He was preceded in eternal rest by his mother, Meizel Lee (Judson) Freeman Tookes and father, Isaac Anderson. Those who treasure his loving memories: son and daughters, Terrell Anderson and Elena Anderson, both of Palatka; Sabrina Leonard, East Palatka; father, Elder J. C. Tookes, Palatka; sisters, Letichi M. Tookes, Starlisa M. Tookes, Phyllis Green, all of Palatka; Grace R. (Leslie) Fleming, Lona M. (James) Fleming, both of Orlando; brothers, Roderick "Rod" Freeman and Arthur "Junior" Freeman, both of Palatka; 7 grandchildren, Leasia, Jy'rese, and Dorrian Brooks, De'Mareyae Givens, Khalifah Hill, Paris Revell, Jr., Alanah Anderson; and a host of other relatives and friends, especially his devoted friend, Acy Hines, III, East Palatka. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 2nd at the "Chapel of Serenity." Celebration of Life will be 4 p.m. Saturday, November 3, at First Born Church of the Living God, 1708 Madison Street, Palatka, Bishop Walter L. Smith, pastor is the eulogist. The cortege will assemble at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at First Born Church of the Living God.
