Obituary

Arleasha Danmetrix Crumpton, 34, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Shands at UF, Gainesville following an extended illness. A native of St. Augustine, she was born on Wednesday, January 25, 1978 to Danny Lee Crumpton, Sr. and Ollie Mae McCloud. 1987, her family relocated to Palatka coming from Hastings. She was a 1996 graduate Palatka High School and attended the University of Central Florida for 3 years, studying Administrative Nursing. She was a member of the Omega Essence Auxiliary. From early childhood, she was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Hastings under the leadership of Pastor James Golden, Jr., In 2009, she joined Church of Recovery Ministry and remained a faithful member until God called her home, serving as a missionary, armor-bearer, assistant financial secretary, praise team and senior choir member. She was also President of the "Women of Inspiration" group. She served on the advisory board at "A Touch of His Hem" Ministry, Inc., Port Orange and a member of Front Line prayer (nationwide prayer line). Arleasha was a Certified Nursing Assistant formerly employed at Palatka Health Care. She enjoyed serving the Lord, working dutifully in the church, spending quality time with her daughters, cooking, reading her Bible and helping others. Arleasha was preceded in eternal rest by her father, Danny Lee Crumpton, Sr. (May 25, 2012), grandfathers; Benjamin Crumpton and Robert Lee McCloud. Those who cherish her memories: daughters, Quanika Maddox, Daijahnae Maddox; mother, Ollie (Gregory Session) McCloud, 3 sisters, Gre'Shay Session, Palatka; Sharita Williams; Sharena Williams, Jacksonville; 3 brothers, Rodney (Kayla Robinson) Summerall, Jr., Palatka; Danny (Althea) Lee Crumpton, Jr., St. Marys, GA; Kenza Benjamin Crumpton, Lancaster, PA; grandmothers, Mary Crumpton, Palatka; Mary McCloud, Hastings; 8 aunts, Barbara (Emmanuel) Whitfield-Parler, East Palatka; Patricia (John) Alexander Gibbs, St. Augustine; Lora McCloud, Palatka; Ruthie Anderson, Tampa; Dorothy (Frank) Verdell, Hastings; Julia Lewis, Leesville, LA; Betty Jean (Alphonso) Hill; Curly Mae Crumpton, Palatka; 4 uncles, Franklin John, Hastings; Willie C. (Mattie) Crumpton, Stockton, GA; Frankie Lee Crumpton, Palatka; Bobby (Patricia) Crumpton, Long Island, NY; nieces, Vevvy Summerall, Crescent City; Laniyah Alridge, Palatka; nephew, Lee Hall Jr., Palatka; godmother, Shelby Varnes, Hastings; special friend, William Maddox, St. Augustine, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and caring friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 2nd at the "Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 3rd, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, Palatka, Rev. Karl N. Flagg, pastor. Pastor Rena Williams, Church of Recovery Ministry, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West. The cortege will assemble 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 1401 Roselle Avenue, Palatka.
