Obituary

Ardis Mack, Jr., 70, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at his residence. The son of Ardis and Vancie (Gamble) Mack, Sr., he was a native of Savannah, GA., born on Saturday, September 29, 1945. He was educated in the Chatham County, GA School District. "Junior" has resided in Palatka since 1968 and was a hard-working man who spent most of his time in farming or pulpwood. He was united in marriage to the former Geraldine Scott. Since 2012, Ardis has been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served as a Teacher of the Gospel Essentials. He thoroughly enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ardis was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, John Willie Mack.

To cherish his memories: devoted wife, Geraldine Scott Mack, Palatka; 5 sons, Terrance Edwards, Mark Mack, Jaufees Jackson, and Robert L. Jackson, all of Palatka; Fitzgerald Jackson, Valdosta, GA; 2 sisters, Channie (Curvin) Gordon, Fernandina Beach; Angeline Alexander, Palatka; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the Mack family requests memorial contributions be made to Ardis Mack, Jr. Memorial Fund c/o Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel, 2400 Madison Street, Palatka, Florida 32177.A Memorial Service to honor Jesus Christ and to remember Ardis' life will be 10 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1414 Husson Avenue, Palatka, Bishop Michael Curtis, officiating.
