Anthony Jerome Washington, Sr., 38, of Jacksonville entered the sunset of life on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville. A native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, he was born on Monday, February 10, 1975 to Anderson & Carol (Wilson) Washington, Sr. He was educated in the Duval County School District (Eugene Butler High School). He was formerly employed as a Custodian with the Duval County School Board and Sales Representative with PrimeCo Wireless Communications. He met and married the former Kendra Yvette Mobley in 2000. He attended Soul Mission Church of God in Christ, Palatka. His hobbies included listening to music, watching sports (football, basketball and boxing) and spending time with family. Anthony was preceded in eternal rest by his sister, Charlena Washington; grandfathers, Percy Wilson, Sr., Anderson Washington, Fredrick Johnson; grandmothers, Betty Ann Johnson, Jannie Mae Gordon, Mattie Bell Wilson. Those who cherish his memories; devoted wife of 12 years, Kendra Yvette Mobley Washington; son, Anthony Jerome Washington, Jr.; daughters, Antoinette Watson, Mattie Bell Washington; raised as sons, Kilalblo Wilson, Jr., and Ki'vontay Wilson, raised as a daughter, Kibrelle Wilson; brothers, Anderson (Theresa) Washington, Jr., Adrian (Tameka)Washington; sisters, Sheila Washington (Michael Heggs), Sonceria Huffman, Jeanette Washington, Annette Washington, Sharon Washington, all of Jacksonville; mother-in-law, Linda Douglas, Jacksonville; father-in-law, Rodney Mobley, Palatka; brothers-in-law, Rodney Mobley, Jr., Palatka; Kilalblo Wilson, Sr., Jacksonville and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 with a "Celebration of Life" at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity", 2400 Madison Street, Palatka, Elder Alonzo Mulberry, pastor of Soul Mission Church of God in Christ, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery, Palatka.
