Minister Anthony Ronmany-Romero Sapp, 57, of Green Cove Springs (formerly Middleburg), entered the sunset of life on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville. The son of Fred and Bertha Sapp, he was born on Sunday, December 25, 1960 in Starke. He was educated in the Clay County School District. Anthony earned various certifications and licensures in carpentry, refrigeration, electrician, plumbing, and rehabilitation. On August 30, 1991, Anthony was united in marriage to a longtime family friend, Ethel Lee Brown. During their 26 years of marriage, Anthony gave his life to Christ and grew in his spiritual walk. He served as a Deacon and later became a Minister of the gospel. Anthony showed the love of God through his personal works in the community and was engaged in the prison ministry under Abundant Life Church and subsequently Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, Fred Lee Sapp, Jr. and sister, Karene Catherine Godbolt.
He leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife, Ethel Sapp; daughter, Quantoo Sapp, step-daughter, Lusheia Gomez; step-children, Lisa, Randy, Issac; parents, Fred and Bertha Sapp; sister, Queen Elizabeth (Roosevelt) Williams; brothers, Ezzard Charles Sapp, Azell Sapp; parents-in-law, Issac Brown, Sr., Helen Brown, Dollie Mae Bussey, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie, Thomas, Clarence, Darryl, Adrian, Stacy, Luke, and Dwight; 11 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing Celebration: 2 p.m., Saturday, February 10 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 2703 Forman Circle, Middleburg, Pastor Benjamin Clark. Reverend Robert L. Wright, Pastor of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, is the eulogist. Interment: Forman Cemetery, Middleburg.
