Anthony Tyrone A-Diddles Lewis, 19, of Elwood (St. Johns County), entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Orange Park Medical Center. Anthony was born on Friday, November 10, 1989, in St. Augustine, Florida. He was the son of Mrs. Cynthia D. Lewis-Cortez and Bernard Reese, Sr. Anthony was in the class of 2009 anticipating graduation at Bartram Trail High School. He has been a resident of the Elwood Community for years and formerly resided in Orange Park and Jacksonville. He was a member of New Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church (Picolata) in St. Augustine. He was a big brother who sincerely loved his family and friends. He really enjoyed going to the movies, hanging out with friends and playing video games. He was preceded in eternal rest by great-grandfather, William McCloud and great-grandmother, Maybell Jones. To cherish his memories: parents, Cynthia D. (Jessie) Lewis-Cortez, St. Augustine; Bernard Reese, Sr., Orange Park; maternal grandparents, Lorraine J. (Randall, Jr.) Shaw, St. Augustine; Roosevelt (Edna) Lewis Sr., Green Cove Springs; paternal grandparents, Ethel Reese, Orange Park, Azell Sapp, Orange Park; great-grandparents, Andrew (Louise) Johnson, Sr., St. Augustine, Ruby McCloud, Green Cove Springs, Randall (Katherine) Shaw, Sr., St. Augustine, and Carrie Paterson, Orange Park; two brothers, Arthur Dye-Williams, Antwaun Williams, sister, AAleiya Rush, all of St. Augustine; paternal siblings, Shameeka Broadwater, and Bernard Reese, Jr., both of Orange Park; and a host of other relatives, classmates, and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Friday (today) April 10, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. at New Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church (Picolata), 7211 CR 208, St. Augustine, Rev. Allan C. Pennill, Pastor. Celebration of Life Services will be 12 Noon Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Creekside High School, 100 Knights Lane, St. Johns, FL., Reverend Allan C. Pennill, officiating. Interment will be in Craigs St. Augustine Memorial Park.
