Anthony Roosevelt Bellamy, Sr., 55, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Putnam Community Medical Center. A native of Bunnell, he was born on Saturday, March 1, 1958 to Joe Bellamy, Sr., and Amanda Hayes Bellamy. He was educated in Putnam and Clay Counties. In 1979, he was united in marriage to the former Marylee Cougar, and they became the parents of two sons, Anthony, Jr. & Jermaine Bellamy and he was the father of Lavar Brooks. He was formerly employed with Johns Manville Company of Green Cove Springs and was a Master Carpenter. In addition to his parents, Roosevelt was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, Sidney Bellamy and Overseer Ronald Bellamy, Sr. "Roosevelt" was loved dearly by his family and is sadly missed already. Those who cherish his memory: 3 sons, Anthony "Tony" (Katrina) Bellamy, Jr., and Jermaine Bellamy, both of Palm Coast; Lavar "Rico" Brooks, Palatka; 8 grandchildren; Anthony III, Antonice, Julian, Raekwon, all of Palm Coast; Levaris, Levar Jr., Lavarea, Lazarea, all of Palatka; siblings: Harold (Danita) Bellamy, Palatka; Josephine (Alphonso) Brooks, Pomona Park; Minister Joe (Azalee) Bellamy, Jr., Palatka; Patricia (Rev. Ben) Jackson, Annie (James) Williams, Barbara (Walter) McNeil, H. Rosemary (Dexter) Moore, all of Jacksonville; Gus Steve Bellamy, Tampa; Edward Tyrone Bellamy, Green Cove Springs; Aunt, Alice Thomas, Jacksonville Beach; honorary family members, Annie Brooks Bellamy, Overseer Earnestine (Calvin) Lockett, Ida (Calvin) Jordan; Special Friend, Veronica "Gail" Monroe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 14 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15 at To God Be the Glory Holiness Church, 3521 St. Johns Avenue. Dr. Ruth Lowe Reaves, Overseer. Bishop Mark A.
