Anthony George Butterball Barlow, Sr., 46, of Georgetown, entered the sunset of life unexpectedly on Sunday, August 10th, 2008, at Putnam Community Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Georgetown, born October 17, 1961. Anthony was educated in the Putnam County School District. Butterball was a fernery worker and a handyman who enjoyed watching westerns, and listening to music. In his early years, he attended Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church, Georgetown. Anthony is preceded in eternal rest by his maternal grandparents, Lewis & Sallie Mae Oxendine; paternal grandparents, Roosevelt & Mattie Barlow. To cherish his memories, daughter, Jasmine Ann Barlow; son, Anthony George Barlow, Jr., both of Pomona Park; devoted mother, Jessie Lee Richardson, Georgetown, father, Whittie (Francis) Barlow, Sr., Pomona Park; brothers & sisters, Whittie (Crystal) Barlow, Jr., Georgetown; Vivian Richardson, Crescent City; Annette (Alphonso) Williams, Tonya Strickland, Dennis (Sharon) Barlow, Alicia Miller, James (Wendy) Harris, all of Pomona Park; Meredith (Cornell) Brown, Holly Richardson, Sarah Barlow, Antwan Barlow, all of Palatka; Elbert Richardson, Satsuma; Gwen Harris, Ft. Myers; Alphonso (Latrice) Barlow, Atlanta, GA, Aunts, Juanita (Bernard) Wright, Mamie (Willie, Sr.) Simmons, Pomona Park; Uncles, George (Temperance) Barlow, Welaka; Lewis Oxendine, Kingston, NY., a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, August 15th, from 5-7 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church, 131 Georgetown Shortcut Rd, Georgetown. Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, August 16th, 2 pm at True Foundation Ministries,608 Randolph St., Crescent City, Pastors Ray & Gwendolyn George. Elder Loverso Walker, pastor of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, Daytona Beach, is the eulogist. Rev. J. Samuel Johnson, pastor, Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church is presiding. Interment will be in Welaka-Georgetown Cemetery, Welaka.
