Obituary

Annie Lue Shine-Collins, 70, of Green Cove Springs, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Baptist Clay Medical Campus, Fleming Island. The daughter of Roy and Hattie Mae (Lattimore) Bell, she was a native and lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs, born on Sunday, February 6, 1949. She was educated in the Clay County School District at Dunbar High School, Green Cove Springs. She was employed by the Moosehaven Retirement Community and subsequently by the Clay County School District for over 38 years, until retirement. Annie was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, serving on the Usher's, Choir, and Culinary ministries.   She loved cooking, watching Perry Mason, helping others and spending time with her family. Annie was affiliated as an Associate Conductress with the A Star in the East #1943, Order of Eastern Star, Jacksonville, of the Modern Free and Accepted Masons of the World, Inc. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, Ernest Collins; brother, Pete Bell, Jr., and sister, Ethel Gainey.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Dorothy Rendell, Lorrie Shine, both of Green Cove Springs; Delores (Christopher) Knowles, Jacksonville; Sons, Marcell Shine, Green Cove Springs; Eddie (Alicia) Shine, Jr., Middleburg; 9 grandchildren, Antonio, Shampree, Freddie, Shania, Chris, Jr., Komiko, Jaylin, Tahj, and Sydny; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janie Mae (Eddie) Bell, Melbourne; Eula Pearl (Ervin) West, Palm Beach; brother, Frankie Lee Bell, Green Cove Springs; aunt, Arneitha (John) Session, Orange Park; godmother, Algertha Garner, Green Cove Springs; godchildren, Tasha Mincey, Japan ; Caleb Dennis, Pier Station; Roderius Anderson, Warner Robins, GA; LaQuarius Wolfe, Gainesville; Grace Blount, Jacksonville; godsister, Algertha Brown, Green Cove Springs; close friends, Nancy Lee, Levi Martin, and Shirley Williams, all of Green Cove Springs; Tracy Hampshire, Bostwick; Rose Odums, Orange Park; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, November 1, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Green Cove Springs. Homegoing Celebration will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 2, at Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 SR 16 West, Green Cove Springs. Her Pastor, Rev. Robert L. Wright, is the eulogist. Interment will be Mt. Olive Cemetery, Green Cove Springs.
