Annie C. Mills Johnson, 59, of College Park, GA., entered the sunset of life on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Southern Crescent Hospital for Specialty Care in Riverdale, GA. A native of Palatka, she was born on Sunday, October 2, 1955, to Cephus Mills and Sally Mae Dumas Hargrett. She was a 1973 graduate of Palatka Central High School. During her early years, Annie was affiliated with Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Paul Johnson on December 14, 1991 in Miami and they were the parents of two wonderful daughters, Nakia and Tori. Annie's true passion was cooking and she initially prepared meals from her residence and subsequently owned and operated Dumas Lounge in downtown Palatka. She was well-noted for her fine shrimp-rice dishes. Her husband, Paul was her biggest supporter in all her endeavors. She possessed a "gift of caring" which will always be remembered by her loving family. In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in eternal rest by brothers, Joel Hargrett and Woodrow Johnson, her sister, Jennie Hargrett. She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband of 23 years, Paul Johnson, Atlanta, GA; children, Nakia Mills, Tori Robinson, Sheri Johnson, all of Atlanta, GA; Iteshia Johnson, Miami; siblings, Larry Lorenzo Hargrett, Kaye Francis Johnson, Daniel Stroziers, Karen Scott, Norma Scott, all of Miami; Linda (Charlie) Francis, Willie (Sharon) Stroziers, both of Palatka; Uncles, Sidney Dumas, Jr., Lakeland; Bobby (Joann) Dumas, Orlando; Aunts, Mamie L. Dumas, Miami; Willie Mae (Alfred) Robinson, Betty Dumas, both of Palatka; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; special caring friend, Shirley Drayton Brown, Atlanta; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and caring friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 N. 19th Street, Palatka. Reverend Anthony Q. Robinson, Sr., Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery, Palatka.
