Annie Mae "Pie" Hancock, 65, native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine entered the sunset of life on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center, Orange Park. The daughter of Willie Green and Mae Clara Rowe, she was born on Monday, April 23, 1951. She was educated in the St. Johns County School District. "Pie" was employed with Flagler Hospital for 14 years. She was a member of No Cross-No Crown Christian Faith Assembly. She was an avid football fan, and her favorite team included the St. Augustine High Yellow Jackets, Florida State Seminoles, and the Indianapolis Colts. She also enjoyed shopping, dancing, and listening to music.
In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, Larry Kenneth Hancock; brothers, George, Purnell, and Tracy Rowe.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Latrina Storey, St. Augustine; Nakita (Ronald) Burch, Elkton; son, Gerald (Latasha) Rowe, St Augustine; stepdaughter, Latisha Hancock; stepsons, Larry (Gina) Hancock, Jr., and Lenzy (Akeyshia) Hancock; 8 grandchildren: Larry Harvey III, Nabria & Khia Smith, Ashanti, Chynah, & Gerald "Buddy" Rowe, Jr., Brock & Ronald Burch, Jr., brother, Rudolph (Norma Jean) Rowe; sisters, Doretha Rowe, Joann Rowe and Merlene (Leon "Trent") Calloway; uncles, Samuel (Karen) Rowe and Steve Holman, Sr.; all of St. Augustine and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, February 10, at No Cross, No Crown Christian Faith Assembly, 45 Masters Drive, St. Augustine, Rev. Curtis D. Murray, Pastor. Homegoing Celebration will be 12 noon, Saturday, February 11, at New St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 135 N. Rodriquez St., St. Augustine, Rev. Nathaniel Jackson, Pastor. Her Pastor, Rev. Curtis D. Murray, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Augustine.
