Ann Vickers Garvin, 69, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville. A native of Palatka, she was the daughter of James and Essie Mae (Baker) Vickers, Sr. Ann was educated in the Putnam County School District at Central Academy High School. She was a member of New Life Deliverance Church, Welaka, under the leadership of her sister, Pastor Edna McCoy. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of others. She was preceded in eternal rest by her father, James Vickers, Sr., mother and stepfather, Essie Mae Murray and Johnny Murray; brother, Richard "Jr. Red Cap" Mathews, Jr., sister, Jimmie Lee Vickers Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories: longtime, devoted companion, Eugene "Geno" Siedlicki, Palatka; son, Frank Small, Jr., Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Autum Stewart, Archavette Word, Addly Stewart, Anijah Stewart, Adavion Stewart, Ayden Hightower, and Ariyel Stewart, all of Palatka; brother, Rev. James (Shirley) Vickers, Jr., Palatka; sisters, Pastor Edna McCoy and Mandy (Malcom, Sr.) Smith, Palatka; Godchild, Ann Jones; aunt, Frances Nicklow, Palatka; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
