Alvin Eugene Smiley, Jr. 43, of St. Augustine (Elwood Community), entered the sunset of life on Monday, January 8, 2018 at UF Health Hospital, Jacksonville. The son of Alvin Smiley, Sr. and Debbie Smiley, he was born on Friday, February 22, 1974 in St. Augustine. He was a 1994 graduate of Allen D. Nease Senior High School. Alvin was employed as a lawn and landscaper technician and really enjoyed listening to music.

He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Debbie Smiley, Jacksonville; father, Alvin Smiley, Sr., Elwood; daughters, Alicia Smiley, Rolithia Smiley, both of Philadelphia, PA; D'esirnea Smiley, Jacksonville; sisters, Latoya (Antonio) Woods, Jacksonville; Dyneco (George) Kittles, Atlanta, GA; brothers, Clifton Smiley, Tallahassee; Robbie Smiley, Dayton, Ohio; a host of aunts and uncles; other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday. Homegoing Celebration: 3 p.m., Saturday, January 20 at Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 SR 16 W, Green Cove Springs, FL. Reverend Pernell Raggins, Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, St. Augustine, officiating.
