Altamese "Tina" Gibbs McDuffy, 56, native and lifelong resident of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Plaza Health & Rehabilitation Health Center, Gainesville. The daughter of Palmer Gibbs and Vera A. (Lawson) Nelson, she was born on Sunday, September 5, 1965. "Tina" was educated in the Putnam County School District and was a 1983 graduate of Palatka High School. In the 1980s, "Tina" was employed with the Putnam County School District as a school bus aide. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She loved listening to music, hanging out at BBQ cookouts and being with people who enjoyed life.

In addition to her mother, "Tina" was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, Willie McDuffy.

She leaves to cherish her memories: companion, Clarence Brooks; father, Palmer Gibbs; son, Willie Bryant McDuffy; brothers, Larry James Williams, Jeffery Alvin Spates, Willie E. Nelson; sisters, Sharon (Williams) Allwood, Audrey Louise Williams, Nora "Candee" (Williams) Saunders,  Margie "Debra" (Gibbs) Middlebrooks, Victoria "Vicky" Gibbs; nieces & nephews, Dametria Thomas,  Earl "Tracy" Nelson, Sam Kevin Williams, Aaron Byas, Jr., Jordon Byas, Shanora Smith, Granville Allwood; and a host of grand-nieces, grand-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, November 12 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Celebration of Tina's Life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 13 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 322 North 10th Street, Palatka, Reverend Herbert L. Johnson, Jr., Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Pattersonville Memorial Cemetery, East Palatka.
