Obituary

Alphonso Lee "Pup" Clark, Jr., 44, of Palm Coast, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at AdventHealth Medical Center, Palm Coast. A native of Bunnell and lifelong resident of Flagler County, he was the son of Yvonne Stubbs and Alphonso Clark, Sr., born on Friday, March 12, 1976. Alphonso was a 1993 graduate of Flagler-Palm Coast High School. During his high school years, he was the winner of the state championship for wrestling. Upon high school graduation, he attended the University of Minnesota. He earned a certification in masonry and worked for Cline Construction Company. Alphonso later became a landscaper. His hobbies included hosting crab bowls, watching football with family, talking about the good ol' days of wrestling with Coach D, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends, especially his children.

Alphonso was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Christon Clark, Robert Stubbs, Darren Stubbs; uncle, Nathaniel Clark; niece, Shaneka Jenkins.

He leaves to cherish his memories: son, Alphonso Clark, III; daughter, La'Shaun Clark, both of Daytona Beach; mother, Yvonne Bryant, Bunnell; father, Alphonso Lee (Felicia) Clark, Sr., Atlanta, GA; devoted loving sister, Juanita (Rodger) Jenkins, Palm Coast; sisters and brothers, Ashley Clark, Subrina Clark, Lawrence Hopkins, all of Daytona Beach; Nehemiah Jones, Atlanta, GA; Willie Miller, Bunnell; Eddie (Nichelle) Bryant, Palatka; Eddie Poole, Daytona Beach; "like a sister," Wanda Mills, Apopka; aunts and uncles, Daisy Henry, Clara Lou Mincey, Nathan (Mable) Clark, Armelia Clark, Barbara Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends, including devoted friends, Travis Mobley, Tyrone Patterson, Christopher Lane, Brian Spencer, Ivory Neely, Eugene Coffee, Christopher Walker, Mark Anthony, Earnest William and Jason Rigney.

In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (masks are required), a socially-distanced Celebration of Alphonso's Life will be held graveside with interment to follow at Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast, at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 15. Reverend Johnny Jenkins, officiating.
