Alma Jeannette Harris, 61, of Crescent City, the daughter of Alma Gray Barnes and Richard Edward Harris, Sr., was born on Wednesday, September 4, 1963, in Milledgeville, Georgia. She was educated in the Jones County School District and graduated from Jones County High School in 1980. She retired from City Hall in Crescent City as a Municipal clerk. Harris was a member of Victory Worship Center where she faithfully served as a minister and was active on the usher board. She loved reading, fishing, crocheting, spending time with her family and serving others.

In addition to her parents, Harris was preceded in eternal rest by her sisters, Cassandra Renee Harris, Vermia Bernadettee Lester and nephew, Bryce Devauex Williams.

Minister Harris entered the sunset of life on Monday, October 21, 2024 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital, Palatka.

She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Eddie Lee Williams, Jr.; daughters, Kristie (Rickey) Medlock, Sherray (Dennis) Harris - Fails, Breanna Rashanta Harris; grandchildren, Keon Williams, Dantavious Kelly, Ivory Jones, Dez'Tanee Monts, Ayanna Fails, LeKeycia Williams, Kaa'Maree Webb, Alyanna Fails, Dennis Fails, Jr., Kharter Harris; brother, Richard Edward Harris, Jr.; sisters, Tracey Harris and Sharon Harris; aunts, Rosemary Faison, Sarah Jacobs and Jeannette Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Alma's Life will be 12 noon, Saturday, November 2, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church (South Campus), 608 Randolph Street, Crescent City, Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Senior Pastor. Pastor Vincent Oliver, Victory Worship Center of Crescent City, is the eulogist.
