Alma Davis Armster, 85, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at UF Health Shands Hospital, Gainesville.  A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, she was the daughter of William and Lucille (Higgins) Davis, born on Sunday, February 16, 1936. She was educated in the Putnam County School District and a graduate of Central Academy High School.  Alma was united in marriage to J.T. Armster. She was of the Christian faith.  Alma and her husband were longtime farm labor contractors for many years. She enjoyed fishing and watching westerns on TV. She was also formerly employed by Pounds Produce for 30 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Henry Lee Kemp; brother, Ben Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a host of grandchildren, including two grandsons she raised, Charles A. Kemp and Felton Kemp; brother, Robert Charles "RC" Davis; sisters , Della Mae Holcey, Retha Mae Brooker, sister-in-law , Mattie Davis; several nieces and nephews, including goddaughter, Velma Holcey ; and a host of other relatives and friends.

(Mandatory CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks required): Visitation of family and friends from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, August 14, with Homegoing Celebration at 3 p.m., Sunday, August 15, at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity.  Elder Lemon Nixon, Pastor of St. Joseph Primitive Baptist Church, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Pattersonville Memorial Cemetery, East Palatka.
