IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice Lee
Taylor
January 14, 1967 – January 22, 2020
Alice Lee Morris Taylor, 53, of Palatka, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at her residence. The daughter of James and Alma (Lee) Morris, Alice was a native of St. Augustine and a lifelong resident of Palatka, born on Saturday, January 14, 1967. She was educated in the Putnam County School District and a 1985 graduate of Palatka High School and served in the PHS Color Guard. Alice was a dedicated member and pleasant pastor's wife serving the Lord together with her husband, Reverend Garry Taylor, Jr., (Lead Pastor) at Life Church Palatka. Alice was a sincere born-again believer who was passionate about prayer and bible teaching. She truly enjoyed being a homemaker and supporting her husband while he honorably fulfilled his commitment to our country through the United States Navy. She was fully committed to the Lord and would often share her philosophy, "You can't make things happen. You just have to let go and let God be God."
Treasured memories: She was the wonderful wife to her devoted husband, Pastor Garry Taylor, Jr.; the marvelous mother to their son, James Terrell Taylor; devoted daughter to her parents, James (Alma) Morris, all of Palatka; and superb sister to her sister, Tammy (Jimmy) Williams, Lake Butler; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Bell, Palatka; father-in-law, Garry (Barbara) Taylor, Sr., Black Canyon City, AZ; brothers-in-law, Phillip Taylor, Joshua Taylor, both of Phoenix, AZ; Thomas Bolton, Sanford, FL; sisters-in-law, Kimberly Babcock, Florahome; Kristy Edwards and Stephanie Bolton, both of Interlachen; Megan Taylor, Phoenix, AZ; and a host of other relatives, PHS classmates, friends, including her Life Church family.
A Memorial Celebration of Alice's Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 1, at Life Church Palatka, 2701 Reid Street, Palatka. Rev. Robert "Rob" Stone, Pastor of Dunns Creek Baptist Church and Rev. Jeremy Rea, Discipleship Pastor, Life Church Palatka, will be officiating.
