IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alfred
Johnson
June 8, 1953 – March 7, 2023
Alfred Johnson, 69, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Radiant Nursing and Rehab at Palatka. The son of Rev. Melvin Waters and Idella Johnson, he was born on Monday, June 8, 1953 in Tampa. He was educated in the Putnam County School District at Central Academy. In his early years, he attended the former Temple of God Miracle Deliverance Center, under the leadership of Dr. Ruth Lowe Reaves. He was formerly employed as a delivery assistant at the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant. Alfred enjoyed listening to music, talking to friends and family and taking care of others. He was always lending a helping hand and remembered all of the old timers. A passion for protecting and serving led to him being recognized as an honorary deputy of Radiant Nursing & Rehab by PCSO.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, Charlie Daniels, Jr., Samuel Johnson; sister, Aquilla Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories: siblings, Delores Daniels, Gladys Lee, Bridgett Waters, all of Palatka; Carolyn McLean, Spring Valley, NY; aunt, Janie Hill, Daytona Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, caring friends, and his Radiant Nursing & Rehab Family.
Visitation of family and friends: 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 17; Celebration of Life: 11 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Flagg Serenity Chapel. Pastor Theodore McRae, Mt. Zion MBC, Federal Point, Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment: Oak Hill East Cemetery, Palatka, FL.
