Aldosia Bailey Sails, 75, of Jacksonville, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Jacksonville. The daughter of Allen Bailey, Sr. and Aldosia (Gore) Bailey, she was born on Tuesday, November 6, 1945 in Jacksonville. She was educated in the Duval County School District. Aldosia was a bus driver for the Duval County School District. She was formerly affiliated with Titus Harvest Dome Spectrum Church, under the leadership of Pastor R.J. Washington, and was presently a member of Trumpet in Zion Fellowship, under the leadership of Apostle Darryl G. McCoy, Sr. Aldosia fondly enjoyed studying the Holy Bible and spending time with her children.
In addition to her parents, Aldosia was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Ulysses Grant Bailey; sister, Dorothy Jean Bailey; and grandson, Derrell Whaley.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Audrie Sails; daughters, Beverly Johnson, Linda (John) Young, Anita (George) Davenport, Reda (Darrell) Whaley; son, Sammy (Kim) Bailey; grandchildren, Sara Bailey, Gregory Bailey, Rachael Bailey, Jonessa Young, Delayla Whaley, Timothy Johnson, Yvette Johnson, Elizabeth Bailey, Joseph Pollen, Darnieshia Jenkins, Laurieshia Williams, Roy Edwards, Rosemond Edwards; brothers, Allen B. Bailey, Jr., John L. Bailey, Larry Bailey; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines including required masks with social distancing, a visitation of family and friends will be from 9:30 a.m. -11 a.m. with a Homegoing Celebration of Aldosia's Life commencing at 11 a.m., Friday, December 11 at Trumpet in Zion Fellowship, 6007 Seaboard Avenue, Jacksonville, Apostle Darryl G. McCoy, Sr., Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will be 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 12 at Oak Hill East Cemetery, Palatka.
