A native of Ocilla, GA., she was the daughter (one of three children) of Charlie and Alberta (Pressley) Cross , born on Friday, August 28, 1925. After the eternal transition of her loving daughter, Rosa, Mother Aldine became the mother for her grandchildren: Andra, Ronald, Oba, Quinton, Cindy, Ebony, Amber, Onya, Vanessa, and Ursula. She was a longtime, faithful servant of God and member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus Johnny Shaw. Mother Watts loved her church and church family, serving on the Mother's Board, Hospitality and Devotional (Praise) Leader. Mother Watts was a true worshipper who enjoyed singing and dancing in the presence of the Lord and would do anything else her hands could find to do.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mother Watts was preceded in eternal rest by her daughter, Rosa Armster; sisters , Luther Cross and Mary Cross; goddaughter , Shirley Hendrieth.
Those who cherish her memories: sons and daughters-in-law, Issac (Ceola) Cross, Minneola, FL; John (Jean) Golden, Jacksonville; Randy (Diane) Jenkins, Larry (Dora) Watts, Billy (Janice) Golden, all of Palatka; Kenneth (Alice) Golden, Lithonia, GA; devoted niece (like a daughter), Kathy Melton, Palatka; scores of grandchildren and great-grandchildren ; godson, Richard (Phyllis) Hunter, including Leon Hunter; goddaughter, Cherelle Heinecker; special neighbors, Jeanette (Anthony) Boyd, Willis Medlock; devoted friends, Willie Mae Roberts, Barbara Milton; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, church family, and other loving relatives.
