Alberta Elouise Hunter Cotton, 68, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her residence. Affectionately known as "Lois" was born, August 3, 1953, in Palatka, Florida to Alberta Wilson and Jim Hunter, Jr. She attended Central Academy High School but graduated her senior year from Palatka South High School, which was recently integrated at that time, in the class 1972. In September 1972, she moved to Washington, D.C., after being recruited and hired by the U.S. Government, specifically the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  She retired in 2008 after 36 years of service.

Lois was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, June 21, 1974 and remained so until her death.  She was a fearless and strong advocate of Bible Truth and God's Kingdom. Lois will be remembered by many as a genuine friend, good mother, and wife.
