Agustin Bravo, 92, of Interlachen, peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. The son of Gustavo Guerra Bravo and Guadalupe Guerra, he was born on Monday, February 2, 1925 in Paso Real de San Diego, Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Agustin was an entrepreneur who owned and operated two very successful grocery stores in Irvington, NJ and most notably Bravo Market & Laundromat in Interlachen, which he owned for 24 years. As the owner of Bravo Market, Agustin was a business leader and a pillar for the Hispanic community in West Putnam County, especially Interlachen, retiring nearly 10 years ago. He was an avid major league baseball fan who always supported the winning team. He enjoyed playing patriotic tunes on his harmonica. Agustin was very passionate about family which is noted in his effort to sponsor citizenship for several of his family members from Cuba shortly after he became a U.S. citizen himself. Agustin was a proud citizen and Patriot of these United States. Agustin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, community leader and friend to all.

Agustin's memories are cherished most by his: wife of 46 years, Carmen Leyda Bravo, Interlachen; daughter, Teresa Mercado, Gainesville; daughter, Lilian (Anthony) Hutchinson, Hawthorne; son, Ramon Bravo, Cuba; daughter, Maria Bravo, Miami; brothers, Celso (Yolanda) Bravo, Elizabeth, NJ; Armando Bravo & Leonides Bravo, both of Cuba; sisters, Cerela Bravo and Noemi Bravo, both of Cuba; 11 loving grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, July 7 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Celebration Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 8 at St. John's Catholic Church, 1200 SR 20 West, Interlachen, with Father Carlos Sosa, celebrant. Agustin will be laid to rest at Pineview Cemetery, Interlachen.
