Obituary

Mother Adell Walker Wiggs Williams, 90, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Haven Hospice of the Lakes, Roberts Care Center, following an extended illness. A retired homemaker, she was a native of Swainsboro, GA., born Friday August 15, 1919 to Dallas & Lillie Walker. She was united in marriage to Charlie Wiggs and later she met and united with Charles Williams. She has been a resident of Palatka for the past 22 years, moving from Deerfield Beach, Florida. She was a faithful member of To God Be the Glory Holiness Church, Palatka where she served on the Mothers Board.

She is preceded in eternal rest by her parents; husband; 4 sons, Smiley, Charlie, Freddie, & David Wiggs; 2 daughters, Evone Jackson and Gloria J. Boyd; 4 sisters, Creola Walker, Viola Wiggins, Lucy Flowers, & Julia Walker; 3 brothers, Robert, Sylvester, and Ray Walker.

To Cherish Her Memories, Children, Apostle Joe L. (Eva) Wiggs, Sarasota; Willmener Wiggs, Deerfield Beach, FL; Christine (Elder Johnnie) Bunch; Loretha (Deacon Anthony) Miller; and Clifford Wiggs, all of Palatka; 24 Grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and caring friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday January 22 at The Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Celebration will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 23 at To God Be the Glory Holiness Church, 3521 St. Johns Ave, Palatka. Her pastor, Dr. Ruth Lowe-Reeves, is presiding. Her son, Apostle Joe L. Wiggs is the eulogist. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill West Cemetery.
