Addie Mae Addison, 64, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at her daughter, Gloria's residence in Welaka. The daughter of Sip Johnson and Lillian Ward, she was born on Sunday, February 10, 1957 in Inverness, FL. Her life's journey led her to Crescent City Florida where she resided until she was called into eternal rest. She was educated within the Putnam County School District at Crescent City High School. Addie was employed as a housekeeper at Lakewood Nursing Center for over 20 years. She loved spending time at the Crescent City fishing dock enjoying her hobby of fishing with fellow community members which became her extended family. She also enjoyed singing, dancing and spending time with her family. Addie was a member of Victory Worship Center.

In addition to her parents, Addie was preceded in eternal rest by her sisters, Yvonne Lane, Vernell Fulton; brothers, Sip Johnson, Jr., Isaac Johnson; grandson, Rontrice Simmons; niece, Denise Pastley.

She leaves to continue her legacy: husband of 21 years, John E. Addison Jr; daughters, Gloria Williams, Takeila Addison, Dieasha Williams, LaTonia (Perry) Price; sons, Steve Williams, Jr., Roshod Addison, James Addison, Christopher Addison, Rodney Addison, John Addison, III, Earl Addison; brother, Robert (Lucille) Johnson; aunt, Shirley Ward; brothers-in-law, Willie Addison, Thomas (Linda) Williams, Esley Baker; sisters-in-law, Dradine Graham, Ira Dean Harris, Ola Bacon, Ruth Sands, Deloris Williams; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; special loved ones, Shenela Ward Still, George Ward, Genora Brantley, Dietrich (Dunstan) Champagnie, Paula Stevens; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

CDC guidelines will be followed for the visitation of family and friends from 5:30-7 p.m., Friday, June 4 at Victory Worship Center, 1022 Huntington Road, Crescent City, Pastor Vincent Oliver. Celebration of Addie's Life will be 4 p.m., Saturday, June 5 at Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ, 1150 Huntington Road, Crescent City, Elder H. Harry Banks, Pastor.  Elder Jarvis F. Wright, Sr., New Saint Paul Church, officiating.
