Daniel Lee "Danny" Williams, 65, of Tallahassee (formerly Green Cove Springs) entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Fort McCoy, born September 29, 1945 to Leroy and Elnora (Wilcox) Williams. Danny was educated in the Clay County School District (Dunbar High School, Class of 1963). In 1968, Danny was baptized and became a member of Miller Street Church of Christ in Orange Park. He was a retired concrete finisher, employed for many years by Cumbie Concrete Company in Tallahassee.
Danny leaves to cherish his memories: 11 sisters, Thelma Blount, Green Cove Springs; Barbara (Keith) Salton, Orlando, FL; Shirley Williams, Jacksonville, FL; Juanita Williams, Annette Williams, Diane Williams, Loretta White, Linda Williams, Laresa Scott, and Lisa Williams, all of Ocala, FL; Yvette Williams, Atlanta, GA; brother, Johnny Williams, Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Helen Williams, Green Cove Springs; Two step-sisters, Gaynell Bright and Betty Horne, both of Ocala; step-brother, Harold Drummer, Orlando; 6 children, Cynthia Johnson (Lee), Danny Peewee Williams (Lisa), and Adrian Williams, all of Orange Park; Richard Ricky Williams, Jacksonville; Danny Lee Williams, Jr., and Angela Gay, both of Tallahassee; 12 Grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, December 18 at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Homegoing Celebration will be at 2 p.m. at the church, 1300 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Green Cove Springs, FL., Rev. Robert L. Wright, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
